
Double click My Network places on the desktop, then choose view network connections from the list on the left hand side. Next click create a new connection from the left hand side which will start the following connection wizard:-

In the 'Company Name' box any name can be used however good practice would be to use your company name and then click 'Next':-

In the 'Host Name' box type the public static IP Address which would have been given to you by your ISP and then click 'Next':-

On this screen just click 'Next', you can place a shortcut to this connection on your desktop by clicking the box and then clicking 'Fnish':-

The first two boxes will already be ticked, place a tick in the third box 'Include Windows Logon Domain' and then click 'Ok':-

In the 'User Name' box type your username, in the 'Password' box type your password and in the 'Domain' box type the local domain name of your system then click 'Connect' to test the connection:-

Once connected open 'Remote Desktop Connection':-
In the box type in the IP address of the server / PC that you wish to access and then click 'Connect'.
